Maders Trains reserves the right to change any of the listed material on this site without advance notice.
Stock On Our Website
At Maders Trains, we list products that are in stock and available, products that are available for Pre-order (new products not yet released) and Products that are available for Advance Order (previously released products that will soon be available again, including re-releases). All Pre-order and Advance Order products will have their expected release dates on their product pages under the stock status.
In Stock
These items are in stock and available for immediate shipment after the payment has been received.
Available, 7-10 Business Day
Items listed as an Available, 7-10 Business Day are available from the manufacture and will ship when they arrive at our shop.
PreOrders
These are new products announced by manufacturers but not yet released. A PreOrder Item will be indicated on its page by the words PreOrder, and then it's expected due date. If you are looking for a particular item that we don't have listed on our site as a PreOrder, please email us with the items manufacture, item number, and a short description and we will be get back to you as soon as possible with the availability and price. Note, the payment for all PreOrders must be received in full before the item ships from the Manufacture. We will email you to confirm your order and request the payment for your PreOrder a week before the item(s) is to be released. **NOTE** When placing a PreOrder through our site, please select the Money Order/Personal Check payment option rather then trying to checkout through PayPal. Reason being is when the PayPal payment option is selected, you will be forced to pay for the PreOrder when placeing the order, and we do not require any form of payment when placing a PreOrder
Advance Order
These are previously released products that will soon be available again, including re-releases. An Advance Order Item will be indicated on its page by the words Advance Order, and then it's expected due date. If you are looking for a particular item that we don't have listed on our site as a Advance Order, please email us with the items manufacture, item number, and a short description and we will be get back to you as soon as possible with the availability and price. Note, the payment for all Advance Orders must be received in full before the item ships from the Manufacture. Special Order
These are items we do not have listed on our website. We are a small hobby shop, and it is nearly impossible for us to list everything from the manufactures we carry and keep up with stock updates. We will list certain items from each manufacture we carry, if you are looking for a particular item that we don't have listed on our site, please email us with the items manufacture, item number, and a short description and we will be get back to you as soon as possible with the availability and price. Note, the payment for all Special Orders must be received in full before the item ships from the Manufacture.
How to Order from Maders Trains
Online Via Our Web Site
Choose products from the menu at the left of any of our website pages and navigate to the Product Pages of the products you wish to purchase. Simply click the green Add to Cart button on the Products Page to add the product to your Shopping Cart. You may adjust the quantity you want from the Shopping Cart. You may then proceed to Check Out or you may continue shopping. You can also access your Shopping Cart by clicking on the Basket button at the top right of any page on this site.
**NOTE** When placing a PreOrder through our site, please select the Money Order/Personal Check payment option rather then trying to checkout through PayPal. Reason being is when the PayPal payment option is selected, you will be forced to pay for the PreOrder when placeing the order, and we do not require any form of payment when placing a PreOrder
Phone Orders
Give us a call at 1-949-616-2845. Have the Description and Manufacture Part Numbers of the products you wish to order ready when you call. If we don't pick-up, you may either leave us a message with the items you would like to order, or have us give you a call back. Please leave your phone number at the end of the message, and repeat it once more for confirmation.
Email Orders
If you would like to submit your order by email, please send each item on a new line so it is easy for us to read. For each item, please include the following:
- Items Manufacture
- Item Number
- Short Desription
- The QTY you wish to order

California State Sales Tax
All orders shipped to the state of California will be charged the appropriate Sales Tax Amount
Return Policy
Defective and Damaged Merchandise
All products ship as they were received from the manufacturer and should thus be in perfect condition. In order to be eligible for the Manufacturer's Warranty, please return any defective merchandise directly to the manufacturer. All Merchandise damaged due to the mis-handling of the shipper will have to be taken up with your local Post Office. Shipping Insurance is offered and suggested with all orders, but is not required. If you would like to have your package insured, please email us and let us know after you have placed your order. If you paid for your order using PayPal, we will send a request for the Insurance Amount. If you paid for your order using the money order or personal check option, we will tell you the Insurance Amount and provide you with your new order total. Insurance values will be based on your final order total, including all Sales Tax and Shipping Charges. Maders Trains is not responsible for lost or damaged packages due to the mis-handling of the carrier; all claims must be taken up with your local Post Office. We strive to pack and ship all of our products safely and to try to prevent damage.
Other Returns
You may return purchases in original condition within 10 days of shipping for a refund or exchange. Shipping costs will be your responsibility and no refunds will be issued until we have received and inspected the returned items. All exchanges will not receive a shipping credit, and the customer is responsible for all return shipping, including that of the new product being shipped from our shop.
Before returning and item, please notify us via email and explain the circumstances of the return. If approved, all returns must be sent back in original packaging (this includes all packing and the original box that it was shipped in) and must be un-opened in the state of which they were received. Remember to include a copy of your original Maders Trains invoice.
